In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 10, 2016 No. 344, order of the Rector No. 14 on personnel dated July 13, 2016 on the basis of Kostanay State University. A. Baitursynov established a military department for training citizens according to the programs of reserve officers.
All teaching staff regularly undergo training in pedagogical excellence courses organized by the university, as well as professional development courses at the National Defense University.
The military department systematically and purposefully carries out educational and military-patriotic activities aimed at developing high moral and psychological qualities in future officers — defenders of the Homeland.
On May 4, 2018, the “Zhanibek Tarkhan” military-patriotic club was established on the basis of the department.
Learners who complete the full course of military training are awarded the military ranks of Reserve Lieutenant or Reserve Junior Sergeant.»
