The international project Erasmus+ SAGRIS – "Improving postgraduate education in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future" started at the A.Baitursynov KRU on January 15, 2020 and officially ended on January 14, 2023.
However, work continues on the implementation of the tasks set and the further sustainability of the results obtained.
The project was aimed at solving problems in the field of training scientific and pedagogical personnel in accordance with international quality standards and aims to increase the level of knowledge in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future.
One of the objectives of the project is the development of a strategic document on the improvement of doctoral studies in partner universities of the project.
In this regard, the members of the working package 4 "Network cooperation on education of the third cycle" developed a "Program for improving doctoral studies in the KRU for 2023-2027."
As a result of the implementation of this program, it is expected that the use of materials developed by an international team will improve the quality of training programs for doctoral students, including through information on specific examples of the introduction of smart agriculture technologies in the participating countries of the Project.
In addition, personal and official contacts between universities acquired during the SAGRIS project can also influence the further development of such aspects of the educational process as internships, joint articles of doctoral students, as well as the involvement of foreign scientific consultants.
The project coordinator, PhD – Indira N. Aitzhanova made a report at an expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the University, where the Program for improving doctoral studies at KRU for 2023-2027 was approved.
