The Department of Agronomy, within the framework of the Panorama of Methodological Innovations, held an annual student scientific and practical conference "Modern problems in agriculture and their solution", at which 8 reports on topical issues of agricultural production were presented. The conference was attended by 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. There was an active discussion on each report with a large number of questions. The jury, consisting of experienced teachers of the department, made its verdict:
1st place for a 2nd-year student of OP 6B08101-Kirill Buzovsky's Agronomy (scientific supervisor M.S.N. D.S. Kultaeva).
In addition, a round table was held with the participation of Chairman of the Board of the KazNII "Protection and Quarantine of Plants named after Zhazken Zhiembayev" Bakhytzhan Duisembekov and Deputy Chairman of the Board Alibek Uspanov. Scientists discussed topical issues of plant protection from harmful organisms, in order to reduce the pesticide load on agrophytocenoses, and scientific support of plant quarantine.
After the speakers' speech, a question–and-answer discussion took place, where students and the teaching staff of the department actively participated.
