On-site training at enterprises within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the projects “UnWaste” and UXiship

At Kostanay Regional University from October 20, 2023, teacher of the Department of Mathematics and Physics Ogarkova A.I. a field trip was organized and conducted as part of the implementation of the international projects Erasmus + “UnWaste” and UXiship.

The lesson was conducted with 2nd year undergraduates of the EP 7M05201 - “Geoecology and environmental management”, and first/second year students 7M07102 “Electric power engineering”, in the disciplines “Rational energy use of industrial waste and energy saving” and “Modern energy problems”

The discipline of the educational program 7M05201-Geoecology and environmental management was developed as a result of the implementation of the project’s objectives, and provides for a project-based teaching method, in which undergraduates develop scientific and innovative projects on the instructions of specific enterprises.

The on-site lesson at the Allur plant (Kostanay) was held with the invitation of the speaker - Shadrina Dinara Bostanovna, who is a well-known entrepreneur, a member of the association of social innovators, as well as with the invitation of specialists from the enterprise services.

Dinara Bostanovna conducted a training seminar on the topic of waste management, shared her entrepreneurial experience, and also demonstrated her eco-products.

The master's students expressed gratitude to the organizers and Dianra Shadrina for a good and informative master class, and expressed hope for further meetings.

After this, specialists from the production held a meeting with the undergraduates and the teacher, where they determined the topics for future projects, which are based on solving the problems of the enterprise for processing industrial waste.

These classes, using the project-based learning method on the job, make it possible to increase the efficiency of the learning process for undergraduates, develop research skills, strengthen student-oriented approaches to educational procedures, theoretical analysis of scientific literature, and generalization of research results.
