KRU hosted a new vocal contest, “KRU VISION,” based on the principles of the famous Eurovision. According to the originators of the idea, the contest is, first and foremost, a symbol of friendship and unity in our multinational country.
Seven participants, each representing a specific country – Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Turkey, South Korea, and the USA – advanced to the final round following a rigorous selection process.
The participants performed their chosen compositions with dignity and presented spectacular performances.
A distinctive feature of “KRU VISION” was the selection of winners. Unlike many contests, there were two winners.
In addition to the traditional decision of the competent jury, the audience also participated in choosing the best voice. By scanning a QR code displayed on an interactive screen, guests could vote for their favorite within five minutes.
As a result, the jury's choice for best vocalist was Darina Tanatkanova, a first-year student at the Institute of Economics and Law representing Turkey.
Meanwhile, according to the audience, the best voice belonged to Albina Dyugayeva, a first-year student at the Agricultural Institute representing the USA.
