On Saturday, February 10th, in celebration of the Eastern New Year, a concert was held at SolNal in the KostanayPlaza shopping and entertainment center, featuring a K-pop dance battle in the style of cover dance. In this style, dance team members replicate choreography to a song by a specific K-pop artist.
Eighteen dance teams from the Kostanay region participated in the competition, most of which are students of professional dance studios. Among them were two teams from the NOMAD Dance Club at KRU named after A. Baitursynuly, which performed exceptionally well and secured victory in the dance battle.
The first team, consisting of second-year students, performed choreography to the song "Blood, Sweat & Tears" by BTS. In a dance battle against the Phoenix team, NOMAD emerged victorious. The second team, comprising nine first-year students, danced to the song "The Boots" by gugudan. In a battle against the Heaven team, they also claimed victory.
For our students, especially those performing in this genre for the first time, this is a valuable experience and a great motivation to develop their dance abilities.
The NOMAD Dance Club has undoubtedly attracted the attention of city residents to the university, which places great emphasis on the development of students' creativity.
