Traditionally, from January 10 to 15, when students are on vacation, the Sunkar Sports Club and the Trade Union Committee hold the KRU Championship among teachers and staff in various sports. All structural units participate in them.
In streetball competitions held on January 10, 5 men's and 3 women's teams participated, and the final places were distributed as follows: among men, 1st place went to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering and Information Technology, the Pedagogical Institute team took 2nd place, and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences took 3rd place. Among women, the Pedagogical Institute team was recognized as the leader, 2nd place went to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics and Law took the 3rd position.
In chess competitions among men, all three places were taken by representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering and Information Technology:
Among women, 1st place went to Inna Brel-Kiseleva (FASN), 2nd place to Shyrai Iskakova (PI), and the top three leaders were closed by Guljamal Mukasheva (FEiP).

In volleyball competitions, where mixed teams participated, the best team was the AUP team, 2nd place went to the Pedagogical Institute, and 3rd place to FMEEIT.
In badminton competitions, Kadisha Temirkhanova and Alexander Belegov took the 1st place, Bolat Salikov and Azamat Isabayev took the 2nd place, and Nurgeldy Khasenov and Svetlana Ageeva took the 3rd place.
The competitions were held at a high organizational level, and all games were spectacular. The winners and champions were awarded certificates and cash prizes from the university's trade union. In addition, the best athletes were recognized in categories such as best player, attacker, defender, audience sympathy prize, etc.
But, the competitions are not over yet, there are many other types that will be held during the academic year.
