The head of the Department of Accounting and Management at Baitursynuly University, Dr. PhD Aidar Baikin, is undergoing training at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. Over six months, from September 1, 2023, to February 1, 2024, the Kostanay scientist will focus on the topic of circular economy.
This internship, organized by the "Bolashak" International Programs Center, is part of the "500 Scholars" program. Through this initiative, the government annually awards 500 scholarships to Kazakh scientists-researchers until 2025 for scientific internships at foreign universities, research centers, and other scientific institutions, with durations ranging from 3 to 12 months.
Aidar Baikin is researching the "Development of a Circular Economy Strategy" at the Faculty of Bioeconomy Development at Vytautas Magnus University, collaborating with Dr. Vladis Vitunsken, a professor and European Union expert in bioeconomy. During the internship, Baikin has already published four articles, actively participated in conferences, both at Vytautas Magnus University and other leading universities in Europe, and engaged in seminars with experts in circular economy and prominent Lithuanian agricultural producers.
Since the beginning of 2023, 13 scientists from Baitursynuly University have successfully passed the competitive selection for international internships within the "500 Scholars" project.
