TRAININGS ABROAD WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS + PROJECTS

From October 2 to October 14, 2023, UXiship and UnWaste project teams from our university, comprising 11 teachers and administrative staff, embarked on a foreign business trip to Latvia and Germany.

The purpose of this trip was to participate in intensive courses aimed at enhancing the academic capabilities of our working groups. This capacity development course was conducted as part of two international projects: "Advancing circular economy in partner countries by development and implementation of Master programme "Waste management" (UnWaste)" and " Accelerating ICT students ‘startup development competence via interdisciplinary modular courses in the HEI curricula (UXiship)."

The two-week training program was hosted by EKA of Applied Sciences University in Riga, Latvia, and the University of Business, Applied Sciences, Technologies and Design, Wismar, Germany.

The University's "Circular Economy" training program encompassed various activities, including participation in scientific and academic seminars led by the Chairperson of the Board, Anna Saltykova. It also involved efforts to enhance the methodology and technologies of the "Waste Management" program, which were organized by Vice-Rector for Research, Elena Titko. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to attend lectures and practical classes conducted by leading university specialists.

The project working group, consisting of teachers and postgraduates from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Law, and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Information Technologies, was under the guidance of G. B. Yunussova. Moreover, during the trip, a memorandum of cooperation between our university and the host institutions was successfully negotiated and finalized.

The training sessions for the UXiship project working group, consisting of G.K. Dambaulova, B.A. Kuzenbaev, Nursultan Bekbaev, and others, were conducted as part of a program designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and share knowledge and experience in startup management. The training involved the participation of experts from EKA University, who provided valuable insights and practical examples of virtual reality usage in education.

In Daibe, at the Regional Waste Management Center, the group received training and valuable insights into waste management practices.

From October 9 to 14, the team traveled to Germany, where they underwent training at Hochschule Wismar. During this period, Professor Gunnar Prause and Dr. Laima Gerlitz from the university introduced innovative concepts related to the Bologna process and advancements in technological development within the European student education system. The overall experience was highly positive, with the participants appreciating the atmosphere and format of the training, insightful presentations by foreign specialists, the respectful treatment of training participants, and the opportunity to interact with colleagues. It was an exceptional experience!

The primary objective of the training, which aimed to enhance the academic potential and human resources of our university's faculty, was successfully achieved. At the conclusion of the training, all participants received certificates to acknowledge their completion of the program.
