As part of the science Week at the A.Baitursynov KRU, the Psychology Department of the P.Chuzhinov Institute of Economics and Law held "Student Psychological Readings: from Science to Practice".
According to the organizers, the main purpose of this event is the formation of a scientific worldview of students through the study of topical psychological problems.
The speakers were professors of the Department of Psychology Lilia Sarkisyan and Anna Klimenko, Head of the Department, Associate Professor Lazat Urdabayeva, Associate Professor Irina Parkhomenko, senior teachers Olesya Yelchishcheva, Gulnara Satkangulova, Rosa Zhangalieva, Aina Rakhmatulina, Nurgul Aubakirova, and laboratory assistant of the department Aizhan Zhelkunbayeva.
The readings were also attended by 4th year students of the specialty "Psychology" of the Kazakh and Russian departments.
During the meeting, psychology students considered current problems of mental health of modern schoolchildren, the influence of the type of residence on the socio-psychological features of ethnic identity of residents of Kazakhstan, the development of communicative competence of students of pedagogical specialties, the formation of psychological students' readiness to work with people with HIV positive status, the formation of prosocial values among students in terms of volunteer activity, and also, psychological features of the development of competitiveness in people with special educational needs.
By participating in the readings, students were able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of scientific research and share the results of experimental and theoretical research in the field of psychology.
