Teachers from the Department of Natural Sciences of the SultanGazin Pedagogical Institute, holders of the "Bolashak" international scholarship, Gaukhar Baubekova, Chingis Tauakelov, and Sevara Daribaeva, are currently undergoing scientific internship under the "500 Scientists" program at the University of Forestry in Sofia, Bulgaria. The focus is on "Environmental Ecology. Meteorology."
The aim of the internship is to study foreign experience in researching environmental objects using physico-chemical analysis methods. During the internship, the scholars implement training in theory, practice, and laboratory research. The interns collaborate with the leading professor of the University on "National Air Monitoring System," Dr. M. Doncheva-Boneva.
At this stage, the scholars are undergoing field practice under the guidance of Associate Professor S. Domyanova. The first stage of field practice includes visiting various landscape areas (forest, hydrographic, karst, anthropogenic), industrial facilities, collecting samples from natural water sources, and determining some water quality indicators (total oxygen saturation, conductivity, temperature, and hydrogen ion concentration (pH)).
