Mental Health: Current Realities, Trends and Prospects

 "Mental Health: Modern Realities, Trends and Prospects" - this is the topic of the international scientific online conference, which was held today at the A. Baitursynov KRU. And it is devoted to topical issues of mental health. The conference was attended by scientists from Romania, Greece, Germany, the USA, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Professors of the University of Transylvania Angela Repanovici - coordinator of the DECIDE project (Romania) and the coordinator of the University of Crete (Greece) Manolis Koukourakis spoke about the DECIDE Project during the pandemic.

In addition, the plenary session heard reports on the following topical topics: "Volunteering as an alternative technology for supporting mental health during a pandemic", "Modern approaches to the research, prevention and preservation of mental and social health during the Covid-19 pandemic", "Modern technologies for training specialists in the prevention and correction of drug addiction", "Correlates and predictors of psychological well-being of an individual during a high pandemic risk."

Further, the conference was held in several areas, where the following topics were considered: Actual problems of psychological health of modern schoolchildren; Formation of an inclusive culture in society; Actual health problems of the younger generation. Also within the framework of the conference, a training seminar was held for the teaching and administrative staff of universities on the educational and methodological support of inclusive education at the university.

During the conference, scientists exchanged experience and presented scientific achievements on mental health issues, including modern approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders. The conference participants also expressed the opinion that they contribute to the development of forms of inter-university cooperation in the field of mental health.
