Professor Tatiana Bragina from the Department of Natural Sciences was awarded the prestigious international Scopus Award for her achievements in scientific activities. This award is given annually to outstanding scientists from different countries for their significant contributions to science. The main organizer of the ceremony was the globally renowned English-language publishing house Elsevier, which oversees prominent global scientific citation systems like Scopus and Science Direct and manages a large share of high-impact academic journals worldwide (more than 2,500 highly cited journals in nearly all scientific fields).
The award aims to support scientists who advance science and provide international recognition to those who have made the most significant contributions to applied research in their field and have a high Hirsch index (h-index).
