The SAGRIS project is in action!

Today is the final day of the 1st block of the seminar on module 2 "Crop and livestock production systems in the context of climate change" within the framework of the international project ERASMUS+.

Recall that the seminar was held on the basis of two universities - Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov and Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippov (Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia) from September 20 to 24. As you know, this project is aimed at improving postgraduate education in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future.

During the week, the participants of the seminar and scientists from Kazakhstan, Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland discussed topical issues of agriculture in the context of climate change, visited the leading agricultural enterprises of the region, which showed in practice how they respond to climate change. In particular, the participants of the seminar visited Kazakhstani enterprises - the dairy farm "Bek +", the farm "Terra" and LLP "Troyana". In Russia, an excursion was held to Zhemchug LLC and the maral farm "Sayan Maral.

Also within the framework of the seminar, a round table was held with the participation of representatives of Russia and Kazakhstan on the topic "Problems of the future of agriculture in the context of climate change", which was attended by Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov.

The seminar was held in two formats - face-to-face and remote. European scientists connected to the dialogue through an online connection.

Recall that the project started in January 2020, its implementation is planned until March 2023. During the year of the project, inter-university modular working groups have been created and are working, which include more than 150 teachers; responsible partner universities from Russia and Kazakhstan have been identified to coordinate the development process; work has begun on the development of SARGIS educational disciplines/modules for doctoral students in accordance with European quality standards.
