In the IV International Student Internet Olympiad "Electoral Systems of the World's Countries," organized by the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism, and the Observance of Citizens' Electoral Rights of the Member States of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, students of the Law Department of Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly participated.
A total of more than 2000 students from 172 higher education institutions in CIS countries took part in the Olympiad.
The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by 365 students from 36 regional universities. The students from Kostanay demonstrated excellent results.
One of them, a second-year student Sayat Modabayev, took first place and received a first-degree diploma, while Amir Nurlanuly became a prize winner and received a participant certificate of the Internet Olympiad.
The students' victory was celebrated by the Kostanay Regional Election Commission, which presented them with letters of appreciation on behalf of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and memorable gifts.
