Today, a Republican scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Amangeldy Imanov took place at Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, with the support of the "Jastar Evolution" Public Foundation and the Public Development Department of the Akimat of Kostanay Region. The conference focused on the topic "National Liberation Uprising of 1916: the Unsaid Truth."
The conference unveiled new facts about Amangeldy Imanov's role in the 1916 national liberation movement. Reports were also presented on topics such as "Alash intelligentsia and spirituality, current problems of education" and "Modern theoretical and methodological problems of history and new materials in the coverage of political repressions of the 20-50s of the XX century."
Amangeldy Imanov, a national batyr, was the organizer of the national liberation uprising of the Kazakh people in 1916. Before the uprising, he was known as an advocate for people's freedom and an opponent of the colonial regime. The conference concluded with a group of scientists from Kostanay Regional University receiving Letters of Appreciation from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, who are the authors of the 18th volume of the publication "Political Repressions in the Territory of Kostanay Region. 1920-1940. Collection of Documents and Materials."
