The plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference "Mental Health: modern realities, trends and prospects" was held at Baitursynuly University.
- Today's event is taking place on the eve of World Mental Health Day, - Vice-rector of the KRU Zhenis ZHARLYGASOV made a welcoming speech. – In the modern world, where changes in politics and economics are taking place, as well as after the pandemic, new approaches to health protection are becoming critically important. Mental health becomes the foundation for both human well-being and society as a whole.
Lilia Sarkisyan, Professor of the Department of Psychology at Baitursynuly University, spoke in more detail about topical issues of mental health.
The presentations were made by Andrea Letasiova, PhD from the University of Trnava (Slovakia), as well as representatives of Penza State University, SUSU (Chelyabinsk), the Academy of Psychology and Pedagogy of SFU (Rostov-on-Don) and the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology (Uralsk).
They talked about the prevention of mental disorders, the specifics of the ethnic identity of students, their socio-psychological adaptation and much more.
