The Department of Natural Sciences and Biology, Ecology, and Chemistry, along with the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Forestry University (Sofia, Bulgaria), conducted a joint scientific seminar on the topic "Scientific Research in the Field of Ecology. Experience of Scientists from the Forestry University, Sofia, Bulgaria." The seminar took place as part of the scientific internship of the Bolashak project "500 Scientists."
The seminar discussed scientific research in ecology and environmental protection, addressing relevant issues for both Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. Topics included approaches and reclamation work in areas of mineral extraction, the study and use of underground water in industry, physico-chemical methods of solid waste processing, and obtaining alternative bioresources and energy sources. The speakers included Professor Ekaterina Todorova, Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor Krasimira Staneva, Head of the Alternative Tourism Department, and others.
