Baitursynuly University hosted a regional scientific-theoretical conference dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the writer, poet, and playwright Beimbet Maylin.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in collaboration with the Department of Public Development of Kostanay Region.
The moderator of the conference, KRU Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the contributions of the outstanding writer and playwright Beimbet Maylin to the development of Kazakh literature.
Deputy Akim of Kostanay Region, Rinat Mukhametkali, also spoke about the importance of preserving the legacy and works of this renowned figure within the context of modern culture.
The conference featured presentations by scholars, historians, writers, and representatives of theater and cinema. A special guest was Saltanat Mustafina, the great-granddaughter of the founder of Kazakh literature who is the President of the Beimbet Maylin Foundation in Almaty.
An exhibition of Maylin's works, organized by the Kostanay Regional Universal Scientific Library named after L. N. Tolstoy, was displayed in the foyer.
During the conference, Beimbet Maylin medals were awarded to Deputy Akim Rinat Mukhametkali and KRU Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev.
