Baitursynuly University hosted the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Current Issues in Modern Journalism and PR: Mass Communication Amid Social and Technological Transformations."
The event, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Baytursyn Ilyas, brought together leading media experts, scholars, practicing journalists, and independent experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Canada, and China.
The conference was organized by the Department of Journalism and Communication Management at KRU.
"Today's event gives us the opportunity to touch upon history and once again remember our fellow countryman – writer, poet, and journalist Ilyas Baytursyn. It was at his initiative that our university now bears the name of Akhmet Baytursynuly," stated Ali Bek Tabuldenov, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences.
Participants discussed a wide range of topics, including intercultural dialogue in media linguistics, communication in the context of legal linguistics, the didactic potential of the media, documentary films, the specifics of advertising texts, and much more.
