The KRU hosted an international scientific and practical conference "Preservation of biological diversity and development of a network of specially protected natural areas", dedicated to the anniversary of Doctor of Biological Sciences Tatiana Bragina.
The conference was attended by scientists from Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Russia, the USA, Finland, France and Ukraine, who expressed their congratulations online, as well as presented their scientific reports.
In addition to scientists, the conference was attended by practitioners working in the field of study and preservation of biological diversity and protection of natural territories, university teachers, graduate students, students, employees of administrative bodies and environmental institutions.
The official part was devoted to the discussion of research on the problems of conservation of flora and plant communities, the study and preservation of fauna and fauna, and the development of a network of specially protected natural areas.

Tatiana Mikhailovna Bragina was honored for her great contribution to science. For more than twenty years, she has been the national coordinator of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Kazakhstan. In 2003, she led a complex project to create an ecological network in the countries of Central Asia (Econet), participated in the development of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, her project described the most important wetlands of the region.
Tatiana Mikhailovna is the author of a number of textbooks on invertebrate zoology, soil biology, applied biology. He has publications in the database of the information company Scopus, the largest scientific publishing house ELSEVIER. In total, on the account of T. Bragina 19 individual and collective monographs, more than 15 textbooks, more than 400 publications. Participated in various international scientific and practical conferences, competitions, grants and prizes.
