The answer to this question was sought by senior lecturers of the Department of Philology and Practical Linguistics of Baitursynuly University, Mira Muratkyzy and Akzhan Altybaeva.
They conducted their research in one of the most ancient cities of Turkey – Izmir.
The internship took place within the framework of the “500 Scientists” project of the international “Bolashak” program.
- Together with scientists from the Ege University (Ege Üniversitesi), we studied the folklore of the Turkish people, drew parallels with the Kazakh people, - says Mira Muratkyzy. - We wrote joint scientific papers, articles, held an international scientific seminar, went on folklore expeditions.
Our coordinators are fluent in Kazakh, as they have been cooperating with Kazakh universities for a long time, so there was no language barrier.
During the internship, a large amount of material was collected. Now it is being systematized in order to combine it into one Kazakh-Turkish scientific work "Family-ritual folklore".
In the new academic year, the cooperation between KRU and the University of the Ege will continue.
