Baitursynuly University scientists Andrey Logvin and Irina Shevnina took part in the first international archaeological symposium "Horizons and Paradigms of Archaeology of Eurasia at the present stage!
The event was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding archaeologist Kemal AKISHEV. It was opened by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat NURBEK.
The symposium was attended by scientists from 20 countries of the near and far abroad: Russia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Moldova, Poland, USA, Cyprus, Great Britain, Germany, India, China, the Netherlands and Mongolia, etc.
Baitursynuly University was represented by Andrey LOGVIN, Head of the Archaeological Laboratory of the KRU, and Irina SHEVNINA, senior researcher. They made a panel presentation on the Neolithic of Turgai.
- The symposium was very eventful, interesting and fruitful, - Irina Viktorovna shared her impressions. – Special thanks to the organizers - the staff of the A. H. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, headed by Director Akan Ongaruli! It was a real celebration of archaeology.
