Career guidance work for students with special educational needs (SEN)

One of the priority areas for educational organizations at all levels is the development of inclusive education as a powerful means of social protection for people with disabilities, enabling them to successfully integrate into society in the future.

Pursuing this direction, at the initiative of the Department of Psychology and the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies (CIET) and inclusive education at A. Baitursynov KRU, with the participation of Chelyabinsk State University, psychologists from colleges and schools of the region, and heads of city and district departments of education, a webinar was held in early February titled "Modern Approach to Organizing Career Guidance for Students with SEN (special educational needs)".

The webinar was attended by over 212 participants. Presentations were delivered by Natalia Romanovich, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Regional Resource Educational and Methodological Center for Training Persons with Disabilities of Chelyabinsk State University, Liliya Sarkisyan, Psychologist of the highest category, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Psychology, and Saule Aituzhinоva, Head of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies.

The content of the webinar generated significant interest, and listeners appreciated the relevance of the problems of career guidance and suggested continuing this format of interaction and further discussing the problems of career guidance for students with SEN.

Nurgul Aubakirova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, informed the participants about the admission requirements for the "Psychology" major. All participants of the webinar received handouts on career guidance for educational programs.

Admission committee
