An Open Day for college graduates in the region took place today. Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev met with regional college directors during this event, and they discussed matters of collaboration and cooperation between the university and colleges regarding career guidance at a round table session.
There are currently 34 colleges in the Kostanay region, with around 22,000 students enrolled. All these students are potential future attendees of A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University. The university is closely connected with colleges, as it aims to increase the student population to 10,000.
Many regional colleges are already strategic partners of the university, with which there has been an ongoing close collaboration for several years. This cooperation involves practice-oriented training, participation of university teachers in various contests and Olympiads held at colleges, among other activities. In return, colleges utilize the university's scientific and methodological resources in their educational processes. Notably, the university has experienced successful collaboration with the Y. Altynsarina Rudnensky Socio-humanitarian College and Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, developing joint educational programs with the Department of Livestock Production Technology and participating in the annual Worldskills Kostanay professional skills competition.
During the discussion, round table attendees aimed to comprehend the motivation mechanisms for college graduates seeking admission to A. Baitursynov KRU and to explore collaborative, efficient forms of career guidance.
In the afternoon, college students enjoyed tours of four institutes, learning about educational programs and the university's admission process following graduation. A special concert program was arranged for the visitors.
