This academic year, Professor Ridvan Kizilkaya, Professor of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture, Ondokuz Mayıs University (Turkey), is lecturing to undergraduate and graduate students of Baitursynuly University.
Prof Ridvan Kizilkaya is an authoritative expert in the field of soil science. He is actively involved in research related to plant nutrition, biogeochemical cycles and environmental aspects of agricultural production.
The professor flew from Turkey to Kostanay last week. He has already had time to get acquainted not only with students and teachers of KRU, but also with the peculiarities of local farming on the example of LLP ‘Agricultural Experimental Station “Zarechnoye” and farm “Terra”.
Ridvan Kizilkaya reads lectures ‘Soil science and basics of plant nutrition’ for students and master's students of the Agronomy and Ecology Department, and conducts advanced training courses ‘Sustainable management of soil fertility’ for teachers.
There are plans to collaborate on scientific areas, explore opportunities for commercialisation of projects and joint start-ups.
