A masterclass for students of the “Geography” educational program was held at Baitursynuly University.
The session was conducted by practicing teachers as part of the “Methods of Teaching Geography” and “New Approaches in Teaching and Assessment in Schools” disciplines.
The goal of the meeting was to explore the application of active methods and technologies, share practical experience, and enhance the effectiveness of teacher-student interaction in the educational process.
School Teachers Karpenko N.D., Tukaeva G.B., Trefilova T.I. and Pasechnik V.A. presented the topics of “Critical Thinking in Education as a Means of Enhancing Interest,” “Developing Interest in the Subject through the Introduction of Active Learning Methods,” “Using the Digital Educational Platform BilimClass as a Comprehensive Tool for Improving Education Quality.” These topics were both engaging and relevant for the students.
Nadezhda Karpenko provided a detailed explanation of the BilimClass educational platform, demonstrating how to work with the electronic grade record, monitor knowledge, use the video lessons database, and schedule academic calendars.

Since schools in the Kostanay region transitioned to the “BilimClass” platform this academic year, the information was particularly valuable for students who will begin their internship in school teaching next semester.
