In Focus - Inclusion Matters

The Center for Inclusive Education and Innovative Technologies at Baitursynov University participated in a cross-regional round table discussion on "Relevant Issues of Support for Students with Disabilities Enrolled in Higher Education Programs." The event was organized by the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Training of Disabled People and People with Limited Health Opportunities at Chelyabinsk State University.

Colleagues from Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, Saint Petersburg State Economic University, and other universities participated. The welcoming remarks were delivered by the rector of Chelyabinsk State University, Sergey Taskaev. Chelyabinsk State University is a leading institution in implementing inclusive education in the university's educational process. Saule Aitkuzhinova, head of the Center for Inclusive Education and Innovative Technologies, presented a report titled "Inclusive Education at Baitursynov University: History, Realities, and Prospects."

During the round table, effective forms and methods of working with students with disabilities and limited health capabilities were discussed, particularly those who entered the first year. The discussion also covered organizational and psycho-pedagogical support technologies aimed at socialization and adaptation in the university environment. The round table took place in an online format.
