SLOVAKIAN SCHOLAR TO LECTURE TO STUDENTS

Dr. Eva Smetanova, a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences from Alexander Dubček University in Trenčín (Slovakia), has arrived at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University. She is here as part of a program to attract foreign scholars to teaching activities in higher education institutions.

From October 30 to November 25, 2023, Professor Smetanova will deliver lectures and practical sessions for students, master's, and doctoral students of the Departments of "Pedagogy, Psychology, and Special Education," "Department of Foreign Languages," and "Foreign Philology." Additionally, she will conduct training seminars for young scientists and doctoral students. The plans also include qualification enhancement courses for the university's faculty.

Eva Smetanova holds certificates in various fields such as Education for Managers (MPC Trenčín, Slovakia), National Project of Additional Education: Communication, Marketing, and Management in Education (MPC Trenčín, Slovakia), Creative Methodology in the Classroom (Training of Wilderness Teachers, Canterbury, United Kingdom), Activation Methods and Strategies in University Student Teaching (Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic), Development of Teacher Competencies in Pluralistic Approaches – Learning and Reflection Tools for Teachers and Educators (European Centre for Modern Languages, Graz, Austria), Intellectual Property in Education (European Union Intellectual Property Office, Alicante, Spain).
