Undergraduates of the 1st year of the History Department of the Pedagogical Institute completed a scientific internship at the E. A. Buketov Karaganda State University.
Its main purpose is to collect theoretical and practical materials for the implementation of a master's thesis. Therefore, during the internship, undergraduates studied the principle of organizing the scientific process at the University and its departments, and also acquired practical skills in conducting scientific research.
First of all, the undergraduates got acquainted with the historical faculty of the university, which was founded in 1938, and is, in fact, a well-known scientific center of Kazakhstan. Scientific schools were formed on the basis of three scientific centers: the Center for Ethnocultural and Historical-Anthropological Research, the Tulgatanu Research Center and the Saryarka Archaeological Institute.
Undergraduates attended a series of lectures "Central Asia in the system of international relations" by Zhibek Syzdykova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Central Asian and Caucasian Countries of the ISAA of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Since university scientists are scientific consultants, scientists at VUKETOV UNIVERSITY conducted consultations for undergraduates on the research topic, also gained access to the library and scientific collections of the university, which allowed analyzing previously inaccessible sources and using them in research activities.
The internship took place due to agreements between the two universities.
