Every year, as part of its career guidance efforts, the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines holds a research paper competition among 10th and 11th-grade students called "Topical Issues of Historical Science Through the Eyes of Young Researchers." This time, the organizers were Associate Professor Erden Ibraev and Gulmira Nurysheva, Head of the Department.
68 papers were submitted to the competition in the areas of "History" and "Local History," with 12 of them being awarded Certificates and letters of appreciation. In particular, letters of appreciation were sent to students and teachers of the Alihan Bokeikhan general education school, the Krasnopresnenskaya general education school, the Auliekol school-gymnasium named after S. Baymagambetov, Sh. Ualihanov Auliekol school, Gymnasium №2 of Rudny city education department, Presnogorkovskaya general education school, School-gymnasium №7 of Pavlodar region, Auleikol district education department's Koktal general education school, and №1 Kazanbasy general education school.
After the ceremony, the guests were shown a video about A. Baitursynov University, told about educational programs, and students of the specialty "6B02201 - History" told the students about student life, studies, and the opportunities that the university provides for the manifestation of creative and athletic talents.
Next, the guests had a sightseeing tour of the archaeological laboratory, and a game quest with archaeological finds.
The event ended at Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore, where Associate professor of the Department Yerden Ibraev conducted a historical quest with the participants of the competition related to the search for museum exhibits and the establishment of their names. The most distinguished were awarded copies of the monograph by Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines Aidar Aitmukhambetov.
A collection of school scientific papers with ISBN will be released in the near future.
