On April 2022 branches of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology were opened on the basis of the Psychological Center "Empathy" and school-lyceum № 1 of Kostanay city, as well as a contract on the organization of industrial practice with the Association of Psychologists of Kostanay region.
Through the work of the branch and practice base the practice-oriented character of training of future teachers-psychologists at the university at the level of bachelor's degree and master's degree is realized.
As priority areas of cooperation are planned:
-development of practical skills of Art Therapy, Hypnotherapy, MAK-therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy;
-Improvement of skills in prevention of destructive behavior of adolescents, bullying, working with aggressive behavior, as well as psychological counseling of child-parent relationships, personal problems;
-organizing and conducting psychological, pedagogical, social and psychological research at the request of the public and on volunteer projects;
-Practical training in academic disciplines (Practical Psychology in the Education System, School Family Mediation, Art Therapy, Conflictology, etc.);
On the basis of the branch and practice base of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology it is planned to develop experimental research projects of students and graduate students of the educational program "Pedagogy and Psychology followed by the publication of research results.
Heads and employees of the Psychological Center "Empathy", PF "Association of Psychologists of Kostanay region", Education Department of the Kostanay region and other stakeholders participate in the development of the educational program of bachelor's degree 6B01101-Pedagogy and Psychology, master's degree 7M01101/03-Pedagogy and Psychology.
