We continue to introduce you to the students of Baitursynuly University who are completing their internships thousands of kilometers from home. Today, we are talking with Askhat Nesipbayev about life in rural Germany, the strict discipline at German enterprises, and the opportunities that have opened up for him.
- "I learned about this opportunity back in my second year, but I wasn't ready then," admits Askhat. "This year, I gathered my thoughts and went for it. Special thanks to our university and the Department of Agronomy for their support!"
The first stage of the internship was a large-scale seminar in Frankfurt am Main. Afterward, Askhat was assigned to an enterprise located in the German village of Laußig, in the Gruna district. This small settlement turned out to be home to many people from Karasu, making Askhat feel right at home.
- "The locals were also very welcoming," says the student with a smile. "At first, it was challenging to understand what people were saying. But then my boss and I agreed that he would repeat certain words to help me remember them faster. As a result, I've become quite fluent in conversational German and can navigate comfortably."
The enterprise where Askhat is interning specializes in sowing winter crops. He works in greenhouses, in the fields, and has learned to operate new agricultural machinery and technologies.
- "It's very comfortable to work here; everything is automated," he shares. "I was pleasantly surprised by the strict discipline at the enterprises. Everything runs like clockwork. No one works overtime, and the schedule is very precise. I have seen many opportunities for myself, not only in agriculture."
A pleasant bonus has been the travel. Askhat has traveled all over Germany, getting to know its sights, daily life, and culture. He also visited Paris, which left an indelible impression.
Askhat will return to Kostanay in October. Ahead are more plans, discoveries, and journeys!
