In December, the International Seminar-Workshop titled "Integration of General and Additional Education as a Mechanism for Social and Personal Development" was held in Chelyabinsk.
The event was organized with the participation of: Chelyabinsk Center for Educational Development, Chelyabinsk Institute for Teacher Retraining and Professional Development, State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals, Regional Center for Technical Creativity of Chelyabinsk, South Ural State College, Baitursynuly University (Kazakhstan).
One of the key challenges in both Kazakhstan and Russia is creating educational and social rehabilitation opportunities for students with disabilities, ensuring their full integration into society.
Collaboration between educational institutions allows for the exchange of scientific and methodological expertise, fostering new trends in inclusive education and promoting an inclusive culture among school students—the future university applicants.
A notable example of project-based learning was presented by the Regional Center for Technical Creativity at South Ural State University (SUURGU) "Quantorium", where IT students work alongside students with disabilities to develop electronic programs.
Such activities take place in specially equipped classrooms, including Aero-Quantum, Industrial Design Quantum, and Energy Quantum.
Seminar participants observed an effective model of social integration for students with disabilities. They also visited the Resource Center for Inclusive Education at Chelyabinsk State University, where they explored the educational and methodological support provided to students with disabilities from their first year until employment.
The representatives of Baitursynuly University also shared their experience in inclusive education during the event.
