December 15, 2020 on the Quizizz platform, senior lecturer of the Department of Theory of Languages and Literature Koval O.V. (with the support of the 2nd year group RYAL-19-111-11) an online quiz "My Independent Kazakhstan" was held for students of the educational program "Russian Language and Literature" and schoolchildren of the city and region. The aim of the online quiz was to foster Kazakhstan’s patriotism and a sense of pride in the historical past, present and bright future of Kazakhstan. The quiz was held from 11:00 to 21:00, students and pupils had the opportunity to choose a convenient time to participate. The game was informative and interesting: there were questions about the history and independence of Kazakhstan, about state symbols, about the President, about the leaders of the Republic, about language and literature. The questions were two categories: multiple choice questions with one correct answer, short answer questions to which the participants answered without prompting. Despite the remote format of the game, the quiz aroused a desire among students and schoolchildren to demonstrate their knowledge, to be fast and active. Summing up, we congratulate the winners! Among students, 1st place was taken by Didkovskaya Christina, 2nd place - Kalieva Madina, 3rd – place Maninen Victoria. Among the invited students, 1st place was taken by Balkasheva Dalel, 2nd place - Lungu Olesya, 3rd place - Zharasbayeva Diana. Also, all participants received certificates. Information booklets of the Department of Theory of Languages and Literature in two languages were sent to the students.
The Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the most significant events in our country. This holiday is rightfully considered a symbol of freedom and power of our state.
