From January 23rd to 27th, the Department of Journalism and Communication Management is holding an open online documentary film festival "Közqaras." Participants and guests of the festival will be treated to master classes and discussions of student competition entries. Among the jury members are directors and journalists of Kazakhstan - Vladimir Tyulkin, Bakhyt Kairbekov, Aigul Cherendimova, Irina Gribovskaya, and Doctor of Philology, Professor Asima Ishanova. During the festival, master classes will also be held by directors Vladimir Tyulkin, Asia Baigozhina, and Zhanana Kurmasheva.
The competition program includes 13 works by students of the "Journalism" and "Directing" educational programs from 4 universities.
The festival will introduce the works of Kazakhstani documentary filmmakers, presenting different perspectives on documentary cinema from researchers, directors, journalists, and simply enthusiasts of documentary films.
The festival is held within the framework of the research work of Ainur Suleimenova, a 3rd-year doctoral student in the "Journalism" educational program.
