Konysbai Akzhol, a 4th year student of the educational program "Physical Culture and Sports" took 2nd place in combat sambo. 3rd year student Maksat Tolendi - 3rd place in jiu-jitsu.
The Grappling World Championship was held in Astana from October 7 to 12. About 700 participants from 37 countries of the world. And our students are on the podium!
- I came to the judo hall at the age of 8, - Ak Zhol shared.- My father brought me to the gym, and since then, sport has become the most important thing in my life. I want to surpass my current results next year and win a gold medal by raising our flag!
Maksat shared the story of his championship:
- I came to this sport thanks to a man who became like an older brother to me, as well as thanks to my coaches. He plans to become a world champion and strengthen his knowledge in the art of jiu-jitsu.
