Various events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the famous Kazakh journalist and national writer Sherkhan Murtaza are being held at A. Baitursynov KRU.
One of these events was the literary and creative evening "The Great Figure of the Era," organized by the Department of Language and Literature Theory of the U. Sultangazin Pedagogical Institute on November 29. Students spoke about the creative path of Sh. Murtaza, who combined writing and journalism talent. The evening featured a monologue from the work "Ai and Aisha," poems dedicated to the writer, and a performance based on the proverbs from the book "Bir Kem Dunya."
The Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the P. Chuzhinov Institute of Economics and Law organized a meeting with representatives of the creative intelligentsia of the Kostanay region, "The Legacy of Sherkhan Murtaza," on November 30, supported by the Department of Educational Work.
The guest of the event, the recipient of the Mahmud Kashgari International Prize and the ALAsh International Literary Award, Akylbek Shayakhmet, noted that he was fortunate to work with Sh. Murtaza. Ablay Maudanov, head of the literary department of the Kostanay Regional Kazakh Drama Theater named after Ilyas Omarov, spoke about the writer's work and advised students to read his works "Kyzyl Zhebe" and "Ai men Aysha."
