On September 14-15, freshmen at BAITURSYNULY UNIVERSITY had their long-awaited meeting with student clubs, the "Oner" House of Creativity, and faculty activists.
Diana Rakpanova, Chief of the Youth Policy Department, along with deputy deans for educational work, welcomed the freshmen. Representatives from the Youth Resource Center of Kostanay Region presented programs and events tailored for youth.
After the presentation, students could sign up for the clubs/circles of their interest. The Student Parliament, comprising 11 student clubs, was also introduced to freshmen. These include debate clubs "Ahmet Urpaqtary" and "Parasat," volunteer clubs "Aialy Zhurek" and "Zharık," "Auditory of Laughter," Zhaıdarman, the Small Student Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, eSports club "Terra Incognito," intellectual club "Sparta," dance club "Nomad," and youth wing "Zhastar Rukhy."
Freshmen were informed about the main goals of student self-government, emphasizing responsible and creative attitudes towards studies, developing an active life position, managerial skills, fostering initiative qualities, assisting in organizing the academic process, organizing leisure time, and activating the activities of student organizations.
It's worth noting that the Student Parliament currently unites the activities of almost 80% of the entire student body.
