The A. Baitursynov KRU held an online meeting with representatives of Kazakh cultural centers in the Russian Federation. The meeting included national centers from Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk, Kurgan, Omsk, and Saratov regions.
At the conference issues of mutual cooperation between the border regions of Russia regarding education and training at Kazakhstani universities were discussed. The scholarship program for foreign citizens and the rules for admission of people of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan were presented.
At the conference options for studying at the A. Baitursynov KRU and in Kazakhstan as a whole for qandass (compatriots) and anyone interested in pursuing state-funded programs particularly discussed. All these topics aroused mutual interest among the participants of the Zoom conference, especially regarding grants and their work-study programs, scholarships, tuition fees, dormitories, and other social conditions at the university. All of the information they needed was provided to the national centers of the aforementioned regions. Representatives from both sides exchanged contact information to ensure direct access to information about the university in the future.
