Rector of Baitursynuly University Seitbek KUANYSHBAYEV takes part in the 9th Forum of Cooperation in Agricultural Education and Silk Road Studies.
The meeting is taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Annual Conference of the Alliance for Innovation in Silk Road Agricultural Education and Research is being organised at the international level here this week.
The Forum is attended by heads of educational institutions and research institutes from around the world. Rector of Akhmet Baytursynuly KRU made a report on the successful cooperation of our university with the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (NWAFU, China).
Seitbek Bekenovich on the platform of the Forum told about the international experiment, in which scientists of KRU and NWAFU take part. Within the framework of the joint project in Kostanai there is variety testing of elite crops from China: potatoes, wheat, soya, corn, rape and alfalfa.
Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University has been cooperating with the Chinese university since last year. This spring master's students from China had an internship at Baitursynuly University.
The universities are planning to establish student exchange within the framework of academic mobility and launch a double degree programme in Agronomy.
