At the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, an Olympiad was organized by the Department of Journalism and Communication Management and Psychology. The main goal was to attract the attention of school students to the professions of journalist and psychologist.
The olympiad consisted of several stages, each including various nominations. In the "Journalism" category, there were competitions for essays, photo reports, and videos, while in the "Psychology" category, it involved analyzing films.
The olympiad sparked significant interest among school students, with the most participants coming from the cities of Arkalyk and Rudny, as well as Denisovsky district. A total number of 37 entries were submitted for the competition.
Following the results of the olympiad, in the category Best Picture Story, the best works were presented by Angelika Dzyuba, a student of Altynsarina Gymnasium in Arkalyk (supervised by Saniya Rakhimova) and AdiletEseev from Kostanay. In the Essay category, the places were taken in the following way: the 1st place went to Jana Karataeva, a student of Krymskoy General Education School of the Education Department of Denisovsky District (supervised by Zhanna Zhurtukova). In the second position was Kuralai Sagandykova, a student of Altynsarina Gymnasium in Arkalyk (supervised by Elena Sysoeva) and in the third place was Ayzhan Burkhitbayeva, a student of Rudny General Education School No.13 (supervised by Ulpan Zhussipova) and Adilet Eseev, a student of Kostanay Industrial Pedagogical College (supervised by Indira Begemanova).
In the videos competition, the best work was presented by Aziza Iskakova, a student of the Altynsarina School for Gifted Children (supervised by Gulmira Ausbaevna Umurtaeva).
In the Psychology category, students from Kostanay and Arkalyk showed outstanding results. Alma Fazilova, a student of Altynsarina Gymnasium in Arkalyk (supervised by Saule Sultybay) and Nargiz Serdali, a 9th-grade student of the Altynsarina School for Gifted Children in Kostanay (supervised by Gulmira Umurtaeva) took third place.
The second place was achieved by students from the Nurgan Naushabayev Gymnasium School, Erik Elkara (supervised by Kalamkas Kulakhmetova), and Alina Zaybullayeva from Maikol General Education School of the Education Department in Kostanay Region (supervised by Aliya Beremzhanova).
Aziza Baydesh from the Altynsarina Gymnasium in Arkalyk and Karina Zaremba from the Konstantinovskaya Secondary School in the Kostanay Region (supervised by Natalya Voropaeva) took 3rd place.
All the winners received certificates from the "Marwin" bookstore in the amounts of 5000 tenge (1st place), 3000 tenge (2nd place), 2000 tenge (3rd place), with a total prize amount of 45,000 tenge. Participants who tried their best were awarded special certificates, and the supervisors received letters of appreciation.
