During the student winter holidays of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Institute of Continuous Education organized a series of seminars for university staff.
The university's faculty and staff participated in a seminar on "Preventing Emotional Burnout and Supporting the Mental Health of University Teachers," conducted by the head of the Center for Practical Psychology, Roza Zhangalieva. The seminar was conducted in an interactive format: teachers actively participated in psychological training and group discussions on emotional burnout, received resources through metaphorical associative cards, which helped develop recommendations for preventing emotional burnout.
A practical seminar on "Working with the 'Platonus' Database. Educational Documentation" was organized for advisors and staff responsible for Platonus in the university, conducted by Balgyin Makanova, responsible for Platonus at the university. Participants extensively discussed working with the database, data format, document uploading, data entry, student achievement tracking, and educational process analysis.
Additionally, a seminar on "Requirements of Legislative Acts in the Field of Higher and Postgraduate Education Imposed on University Staff" was organized for deans, heads of departments, and other university staff. The seminar provided detailed insights into legislative documents in the field of higher and postgraduate education, their amendments, and their application procedures in the university. The speaker was the head of the university's academic activities department, Elmira Nauryzbayeva.
All seminars were held in the faculties' buildings. The university staff actively participated in all seminars, gaining useful information and necessary knowledge for working in the higher and postgraduate education system.
