Who Wants to Be a Police Officer?

Students of Baitursynuly University recently got a glimpse into the daily life of law enforcement officers.

Police department staff organized a full-fledged show, featuring demonstrations of their work, including the “apprehension” of an armed criminal with the help of a service dog.

The event was hosted by the Baitursynuly University Department of Criminal and Civil Law and Procedure as part of the cooperation memorandum.

The meeting was held in an informal setting. Officers Yerzhan AUEZBEKOV and Bibigul BAYGUZHINA shared insights into the work of law enforcement agencies. Students watched a cinematic depiction of police work, ranging from heroic acts to the meticulous efforts of forensic investigators.

The cadets of Shrakbek Kabylbayev Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan showcased firearm demonstrations, while officers from the Special Rapid Response Unit performed hand-to-hand combat and martial arts techniques. In the meantime, a four-legged canine police officer quickly located illegal substances and “apprehended” a dangerous armed criminal in the auditorium.

Students also delved into specialized equipment and gear used by special forces, forensic technology, and received brochures and pamphlets detailing the process of joining the police forces.
