Today, a international scientific and practical conference entitled "In Search of a New Vector of Development of Criminal Law in the Context of Global Transformation of Criminal Policy," dedicated to the memory of Elegen Iztleuovich Kaizharnov, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor, was held at the regional philharmonic hall. The conference was organized by the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulaatov, Ural State Law University (RF), Kostanay Branch of Chelyabinsk State University, and the Public Foundation "Center for Innovative Development of Legal Science and Practice".
The conference was attended by representatives of government agencies and legal scholars from Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Russia. Scholars from the Department of Theory of State and Law and the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University also presented reports.
Kumar Aksakalov, Akim of the Kostanay region, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
The conference presented about 30 reports, focusing on issues of criminal law regulation in the digital reality and criminal law protection of the humanitarian legal order and criminological security of individuals, society, and the state.
