King Sejong Institute will be opened at Baitursynuly University.
Students and teachers of AkhmetBaitursynuly KRU will study Korean language and culture at the King Sejong Institute. The Kostanay university is opening its fourth branch in Kazakhstan.
In May, representatives of the King Sejong Institute visited Kostanay: they met with KRU Rector SeitbekKuanyshbayev and familiarised themselves with the university's material and technical base.
The official ceremony of awarding the certificate of opening of the Institute named after King Sejong on the basis of KRU will be held on 6 August in Seoul (South Korea).
It is more than relevant for KRU. In recent years the university has been actively establishing relations with South Korea. Two students have already studied at Dong-Eui University this year under the academic mobility programme. Next year 10 students will be able to go to South Korea.
In addition, Baitursynuly University is training mechanical engineers for the KIA plant under construction in the region, where Korean language skills are a priority.
The King Sejong Institute is an international educational centre that promotes the Korean language and culture through interaction with government agencies.
Among its international divisions, the Institute has offices at the British Council in the UK, Goethe University in Germany, the Academy of France in France and Confucius University in China.
