On this New Year, in Denisov District magic stopped by the houses of Grishenka village's every little resident. Thanks to the Grishenka Primary School physics teacher, Stepan Galkin, and a student of Baitursynuly University, Polina Petrova, all the village kids received some gifts and kind words from Father Frost and the Snow Maiden.
Interestingly, Stepan Galkin himself was a student of our university. Back in 2022 he graduated from KRU and now works as both a teacher and, as it happens, a wonder-worker.
"It was about two months before the New Year when me and Polina came up with the idea of organizing 'New Year's Miracle' event," explains Stepan. "To raise some money, I prepared a presentation of several useful tools for teachers-which I use in my own work-and offered my colleagues them for a nominal price. After that we purchased the gifts for the village kids. As for the exact number of kids, we reached out to the local akimat, ensuring that no one was left out."
This kind initiative resonated with the hearts of many teachers. The right amount of money was raised swiftly. Then on New Year's Eve, Stepan and Polina, dressed as Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, visited every home in Grishenka village. No only did the kids get in a good mood, they also regained belief in miracles. And that alone, perhaps, is the most precious gift of all.
