Internship Field: Agronomy
Scientific Internship Topic: «Agroecological aspects of cultivation of agricultural cropsр»
Internship Passing period: 01.04.2024-01.07.2024
In accordance with the “Agroecological Aspects of Agricultural Crop Cultivation” internship program, the following results were achieved:
- Studied theoretical material by working with the library collection (compiling a literature review) and engaging in practical work—setting up vegetative experiments, observing, and applying methods to measure plant growth and development indicators;
- From April 8 to April 12, 2024, participated in the VIII International Conference on “Fundamental Concepts of Soil Physics: Development, Modern Applications, and Prospects,” held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Department of Soil Physics and Land Reclamation of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Presented a report on “The Impact of Exogenous Use of Amino Acids on Plant Growth and Development.”
- Attended courses, trainings, and master classes led by top university specialists in innovations and technologies of the agro-industrial field. Continuing education courses included: “Accredited Laboratory Biotesting: Standardization of Test Cultures,” 72 hours (certificate No. 048748); “Biotesting Technology in Environmental Control of Natural Habitats,” 72 hours (certificate No. 048747); “Fundamentals in Reclamation of Degraded and Contaminated Lands,” 72 hours (certificate No. 048750); GIS Technologies, 72 hours (certificate No. 048750).
- Prepared a monograph on “Agroecological Aspects of Cultivating Leguminous Grains.”
During the internship, several new methods of working using special tools and materials were mastered: determining the content of photosynthetic pigments in leaves and carotenoids—which vary based on contamination levels; investigating the responses of antioxidant systems under different concentrations of pollutants; studying the activity of oxidative stress enzymes. Mastering these techniques will allow for further practical application with bachelor, master’s students, and doctoral candidates of the Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University's Department of Agronomy.
